Mary M. McDonnell is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of McDonnell & Associates, a strategic consulting firm focusing on the capital markets industry. In this capacity, she advises clients in operational development, risk, and compliance issues. From 2012 through 2015 she also served as a Senior Advisor and Consultant to Simon Compliance, a boutique compliance consulting firm servicing the Investment Advisory, Broker Dealer and Futures industry.

Prior to founding the firm in August, 2010, McDonnell was President and Chief Executive Officer of Geneva Trading, a global Proprietary Trading company. She held this position from 2003 through 2010. Ms. McDonnell was also the Chairman and CEO of Como Asset Management, a hedge fund and affiliate of Geneva.

Prior to joining Geneva, Ms. McDonnell held several executive leadership positions including Senior Vice President at the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT), where she was responsible for all electronic trading. In this role, she chaired the Management Committee of the alliance with Deutsche Boerse. Prior to the CBOT, McDonnell was Executive Vice President of the Bermuda Commodities Exchange, a venture created by AIG and Goldman Sachs designed to mitigate catastrophic property risk. Earlier in her career, McDonnell served as Chief Financial and Operating Officer of Griffin Trading, a global futures clearing firm, as well as President of Griffin Asset Management International Ltd., an asset allocation firm in the futures industry.

Ms. McDonnell earned her Master's degree in management from the J.L. Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and her Bachelors of Science in Accounting from Marquette University.

Ms. McDonnell serves as a Public Director on the Board of the National Futures Association. She also serves on the Board of the Anixter Center, the Board of Trustees of Guerin Prep and the Board of the Arditti Center for Risk Management at DePaul University. She is a member of the Economic Club of Chicago, the Executives' Club of Chicago, the Chicago Finance Exchange and the National Association of Corporate Directors.
